We walked in because it started to rain real hard and then saw so many mouthwatering plates go by that we decided to grab some breakfast at this all american Tick Tock Diner, next to the New Yorker Hotel. We were still taking our wet coats off when two big glasses of icewater were put on our table. As if we weren't already cold enough on this wet Saturday in March. The icewater was quickly exchanged for hot tea!
Our poor waitress had to come back to our table three times before we were ready to order. Maple syrup pancakes for Esther and a fruit salad delux for Daphne. After an extensive study of the menu and "or shall I have two eggs sunny side up", "or the grand slam" and "oh, those fresh blueberry pancakes would also be great".
The 280 seats in the Tick Tock Diner are filled with a variety of people. And the menu is also very assorted. Besides the typical American food you can choose for Italian, Greek and Tex-Mex style dishes. Breakfast is served 24/7. We love it!
