New York City Trippers

The Butcher's Daughter

22 Jun 2018 by Daphne & Esther

It was Mondaymorning. The Mile High class had a checkmark behind it and after a shower in the great locker rooms over there we fellt fresh, fit, ready to go and hungry! Next stop was The Butcher"s Daughter, a "juice bar, cafe and vegetable slaughterhouse".

It seemed as if the New Yorkers still were busy waking up on this side of the city because it wasn't crowded and busy as usual. We walked passed Bowery, Grand, Bond, Bleecker, saying that we were so hungry and in need of coffee but kept taking a “side step”. How we love this part of New York! And finally, about an hour and half after we had left the Mile High Club we arrived at The Butcher’s Daughter.

And that was nice! We like places like that. See for yourself!

After our tartine (toasted baguette with butter and jelly) and AB&J (toasted 7 grain bread, raw almond butter, slided bananas, grapes and honey) (really nice!) we walked by the little Butcher’s Daughter shop. Cute, darling, lovely but somewhat hyped. We found it a bit over the top to pay big bucks for water in a carton box. But still....if it was easy to take back with us, one of us would have definitely bought it.
