You girls (eh, thx) are manhunting? Boyscouting maybe? Looking for a husband? Nope, none of that. We just went there for the experience. To watch the world's best baseballplayers do their thing. To see the New York Yankees play in their Yankee Stadium. To sing "TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME" and to look at New Yorkers socializing, eating footlong hotdogs and rooting for their team.
Throughout the whole game I felt like I was in a movie. To be honest, I did not catch much of the game. But I sure did enjoy it. Seeing the players, hearing the organ, passing 10-dollar notes down and handing 3 packs of nuts back up 5 minutes later. Watching groups of friends and families loaded with blankets and food, talking and cheering their way through the long innings. Hoping for a homerun or a strike-you're out. We weren't really prepared and were too cold to stay the whole game but we didn't care about leaving early. We had had the experience and loved it!

Best seats in Yankee Stadium?
Well, that depends. If you want to go there just for the experience like we did? Then seats in the Grandstand sections 415-425 are great. You're far from the action but close to the homeplate and there's a giant screen on which you can follow the game. But take it from us, just looking around and listening to the comments of the fans is fun in itself. We got our tickets for $26.
The cheapest tickets are in the "Bleachers" sections 202-204 and 235-238. They are all the way in the back. It is not advised to take small kids here because the crowds can get rowdy. Oh and mind you: sections 201 and 239 have an obstructed view.
Are you a die-hard fan looking for the best seats in the house? The most expensive seats are in the Legend Suite 11-29 ($400) and Field sections 114A-127A ($300).

Other baseball games in New York
If the Yankees don't have a home game during your New York City trip you might be able to see the Mets play in Citi Field. Check the schedule with this link. Another option is to go see The Staten Island Yankees and Brooklyn Cyclones play in the minor leage. The Cyclones play on Coney Island which makes it a great combination for a daytrip. Newyorkcitytripper Daphne went to a Cyclones game. Read her story here.
