Every since the first Magnolia Bakery opened in 1996 in New York City it has been a big hit. There are now Magnolia Bakery's in Los Angeles, Chicago, Mexico City, Tokio, Moskou, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Beirut, Kuwait and Doha. And for sure the list will grow longer. Just think; it all started with making cupcakes out of leftover cakedough ...

Thanks to the hitseries Sex and the City the Magnolia Bakery became a tourist hotspot. Although it's not such a big hype anymore, lots of people still want a feel good moment at the Magnolia Bakery. We've seen people waiting in line to get in many times.

Lots of cupcakes but also desserts, cakes and pies can be bought here. And if you get a chance, try their "Famous Banana Pudding". It is sooooo good! Pretty filling though!

There are 4 Magnolia Bakery's in New York City. We were at the one in Bloomingdales (1000 3rd Avenue).

The other 3 can be found at Grand Central Terminal, Rockefeller Centre and Columbus Avenue in the Upper West Side. If you're into cupcakes then you might want to check out the cupcake ATM where you can get cupcakes 24/7 from a dispenser!
