New York City Trippers

Century 21

Getting lost in a store. Trust me, it is possible. It happened to me the first time I was at the Century 21 department store at Cortlandstreet (downtown). Within minutes after our arrival I had lost Daphne and really had no clue where the exit was. It must have been somewhere between the shoes and the children's clothes section. The problem is all mine, I tend to get lost pretty easily. But I'm just saying, this is a huge store. Why go there? Well, Century 21 is all about "designer brands at amazing prices".

Century 21

They've got clothes for women, men and kids. Cosmetics, bags, accessories, bedding and much, much more. You'll often spot fashionistas sweeping through the clothing racks with their trained eyes, looking for that one special designer item at a price that is too good to be true. It requires dedication and commitment, but it is really possible. I personally always like to just walk around and check out the athletic wear and the bags and shoes department.

Century 21

There are two Century 21's on Manhattan (Lincoln Square and Dey Street) but they differ in size. There's a huge and very orderly Century 21 in Queens, at the Junction Boulevard. And the best one yet, according to Daphne, opened recently in downtown Brooklyn at Albee Square. Next to the Dekalb Market Hall. The true bargainshoppers should go to The Mills at Jersey Gardens in New Jersey. A big outlet. Very easy to reach from Manhattan with lots of great stores of designer brands. It also has a Century 21. An outlet in an outlet. How much better can it get?
